What the extension reads.
On LinkedIn job pages, it reads the selected listing's title, company, location, work arrangement, description, and URL to show the Shifu panel. It also runs a small handoff script on app.useshifu.com to deliver a job you choose to track. It does not read other websites or your LinkedIn messages.
What happens when you choose “Track this job.”
The extension temporarily stores the selected job details in browser-local extension storage and opens Shifu. Shifu receives those details in your signed-in session and saves the job to your account so it can compare the role with your work history and keep preparation with it. The tab URL contains a random handoff token, not the job description.
Storage and removal.
The extension removes the temporary copy after Shifu saves the job. A handoff more than 24 hours old is rejected and removed when attempted. You can also remove the extension and its local data through your browser. To manage jobs saved in Shifu, use the Jobs page in your account.
Permissions and sharing.
The extension requests access only to LinkedIn job pages, app.useshifu.com, and browser-local storage. It does not sell job data, send it to advertising networks, or run extension analytics. Job details are sent to Shifu only when you choose to track a job. Shifu's broader beta data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
Support.
For questions or removal requests, reply to your Shifu beta invitation. Do not include passwords or confidential work content.
